Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Pixels, tags and scripts are small pieces of code that tell us or our partners when a page is viewed or an action is taken. We and our partners use them to:

Type

Purpose

Strictly necessary

Make the Website work, keep it secure and remember your cookie choices

Functional

Remember preferences and enable features such as chat, maps and embedded video

Analytics

Understand how visitors find and use the Website so we can improve it

Advertising and remarketing

Measure ad performance, track conversions, build audiences and show you relevant ads on other sites and apps (see section 6)

We may use tools such as:

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to measure traffic, behaviour and campaign performance;
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages (such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movements) through heatmaps and session replays;
  • call-tracking tools, to understand which ads or pages lead to phone enquiries;
  • CRM and marketing automation platforms; and
  • the advertising technologies described in section 6.

These tools may send information to their providers' servers, including outside Australia. Some of this information may identify you, or may be combined with other information so that it does. Where that happens, we treat it as personal information under this policy.

Your choices. You can manage cookies through our cookie banner (where shown) and your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

6. Online advertising and remarketing

Customer lists and hashed data. We may share contact details, such as your email address or phone number, with these platforms in a hashed (encrypted) form so they can match you to your account on their platform. We do this to measure campaign results, show you relevant ads, exclude existing members from ads, or reach people with similar characteristics. The platforms use hashed data for matching and do not use it to identify you to us.

The platforms' own use. Advertising platforms handle information under their own privacy policies and may combine information from the Website with other information they hold about you. We do not control how they use it. See the privacy policies of Google, Meta and LinkedIn.

You can also limit interest-based advertising from participating companies at Your Online Choices (Australia). Opting out means the ads you see will be less relevant, not that you will see no ads. We do not sell personal information.

7. Direct marketing

We may use your personal information to tell you about workspace memberships, office availability, meeting and event facilities, promotions and special offers, community events, and other services we think may interest you.

We send marketing emails and SMS only with your consent (express or inferred), as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can opt out at any time by:

  • clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or replying STOP to SMS;
  • updating your communication preferences; or
  • contacting us directly.

We may still send you service messages about your booking, membership or account.

8. Who we disclose personal information to

We may disclose personal information to:

  • related Christie Spaces entities;
  • building owners and managers;
  • payment processors;
  • cloud hosting, CRM, email and IT support providers;
  • security providers;
  • advertising and marketing platforms, including Google, Meta and LinkedIn, and agencies that manage campaigns on our behalf;
  • event partners;
  • accountants, auditors, insurers, legal and other professional advisers;
  • recruitment providers;
  • a purchaser or investor in connection with a sale or restructure of our business; and
  • government, regulatory or law enforcement agencies where required or authorised by law.

We require our service providers to use personal information only to provide their services to us. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

9. Overseas disclosure

Some of our technology providers, cloud services, software platforms and advertising partners store or process information outside Australia. Countries may include the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland and other European Union countries, New Zealand, Singapore, and other places where our service providers operate.

Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the APPs.

10. CCTV and building security

Our premises may be monitored by CCTV for workplace safety, security, asset protection, incident investigation and access management. Recordings may be viewed by authorised personnel and building management, and disclosed where required or authorised by law.

11. Security of personal information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Measures may include access controls, secure networks, encryption, password protection, staff training, secure disposal processes and physical security controls.

While we take reasonable precautions, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably required for business operations, legal and compliance obligations, dispute resolution and other legitimate business purposes. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it.

13. Notifiable data breaches

If we become aware of an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where required by law.

14. Access to and correction of your personal information

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you. Please make your request in writing using the contact details in section 18. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within a reasonable period, usually 30 days.

We may refuse access where permitted by law, including where giving access would:

  • unreasonably affect another person's privacy;
  • prejudice legal proceedings;
  • reveal commercially sensitive information; or
  • otherwise be exempt under the Privacy Act.

If we refuse, we will tell you why in writing.

If you believe information we hold is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to correct it.

15. Third-party websites and children

The Website may link to or embed content from other websites, such as maps, videos and social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through the Website.

16. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we adopt new marketing or analytics tools. The latest version will always be on the Website and takes effect when published.
